Brrr... Time for the Santa Hat!

9c or 10c isn't that cold but I was still happy to have my neoprene Santa hat on. The water was 12c and there was a 9-13 knot south wind.

I thought for a moment about taking the 5.6 Idol, but I'm happy I took the trusty old 6.5 NP V6 for the foil. I got up on each of the 6 runs I did in 35 minutes. I fell on the planing jibe attempts but was very happy with how dry my Ripcurl Flashbomb 3/2 kept me. 7.5 km distance and maximum speed was 32 km/h. Next time I'll be wearing booties though. My feet got pretty numb.

Thanks to my lovely wife for the photos!

The one GoPro photo! (dead battery!)

Hi dear!

GPS trail with some nice upwind/downwind angles
On the way back I saw a cute mink run into the Launch Pad storage locker. I'm hoping he isn't making a nest there!

Weather station data 8-13 knots. 9c outside.
The camp heated up quickly so I was getting changed in a nice 20c room after my session. I think that October 19 may be my latest day ever on Georgian Bay! Hoping to get one or two more in this season.
