Locked down - Aruba Memories!

As the world struggles with Covid-19 most windsurfers I know have stopped travelling or even launching locally and the best most of us can do is self-isolate and share old windsurfing memories on Facebook. (Well, one fellow blogger, Peter from the windsurf loop has been writing some amazing Covid-19 scientific blog posts - check out: covid19science.blogspot.com)

Cleaning up the basement I came across a pile of old windsurf VHS tapes.

I was happy to watch the one called Hook’n in and Jibin’ Away by Dasher in particular.



I put it in the VCR and recorded it on my iPhone. A bit of editing in iMovie and we have 2 minutes of mostly Jen and me, and then 6 minutes of others having fun. I remember Sailboard Vacations well, and Aruba and the Fishermen's Huts before the hotels were built.
