We woke up to big winds, high water and our dock off its pins. We fixed that and I had a bunch of work and charity calls. After lunch, it was time to head out to the Launch Pad.
I scored a huge 2.5 hour session. 56 km on the Skate 108 board and 5.6 Idol! Wind was nice and consistent out of the south west. Air was 13c, water around 15c. I was good in my 4/3 wetsuit.
I worked my way all the way upwind to visit friends who texted Jen that I was ok. I tried my spot GPS but it doesn't seem to be working. Add that to the list of projects for the next few days.

After I was done and scarfed some yummy freeze dried camping food, Vanessa, Len and Timo came out. Vanessa got a great session too, first puttering on the Viper, then ripping on the Techno 148. Her newly repaired sail is working well!

I even got a bit of video of Vanessa, after the wind had shifted to more southerly. This was her first time planing after becoming a mom 5 months ago.

Looking forward to some more windy and warmer south / southwest days and going on a blast out to the Bustard islands some time.
