Once again Kingston delivered with late afternoon wind! The kite foilers went out first and did a few upwind / downwind races. Then it was time for the wind foilers.
I barely got going at the start and by the time that I was half way to the upwind mark the committee boat came out and asked if I'd accept last place if I just sailed back to the finish. I did and then the slalom course was set for our 2nd and last race of the day. It was the same as yesterday - 4 kids across the line all foiling and 3 old guys struggling to get up on their foils. Eventually Phil, Artem and I all got going and it was a fun 10 minutes of watching the kids foiling through their gibes while we slowly navigated each turn.
There was a photographer out that got some great shots of me on the course:
| Me looking stable - check out the angle on the kid heading upwind of me! |
| Carl cruising a bit high on the foil! |

It was great to see the park so busy on a Saturday afternoon. Family picnics were everywhere. The lots were full and people were parking on every access road.
After packing up, we met in town at Namaste Indian restaurant for dinner. It was fun talking windsurfing all through dinner and connecting with others in the group, like David and Uli with strong Georgian Bay connections.
I didn't have my GPS watch with me as I forgot to pack a charging cord and I couldn't find a shop in Kingston that carried one. Hope to find a cord and record a few more races on our last day of racing tomorrow.
