Jen is a water woman!

Son and Mom surfing in the afternoon!

Jen decided to try the wing this morning as the side / offshore wind kept the waves small. The water was super low so we had quite a walk out to thigh deep water. We were using Galen’s huge foil board but with a small fin.

Jen ready to try winging it!

She got on the board and had a great couple of runs, easily controlling the wing above her head. I was told that I should remind her this summer about how much fun she had.

Lisa was SUPing out and was interested in trying the wing too. She had more success than the day before, likely due to the smaller waves and better hand positioning. There is no staying upwind though using the wing without a centreboard.

There was still some NE wind so I headed out on the Skate 108 with the 6.2 Duke. I was able to get going for several runs but the wind was definitely dropping off.

One good jibe on the outside and then a last run back in catching a few gusts.

One nice jibe and gusts and lulls on the ride back in

After that it was off to Dirty Dick’s crab house for lunch. Nicely fed with oysters, clam chowder, clam strips, shrimp and hush puppies, Jen and Phillip went surfing while I flew the trainer kite.

Not Phillip's best run, but my best photo

The house is in packup mode as Gen and Chris have already departed and most of the SoundHounds were rinsing and stowing gear for a planned Saturday departure. Group dinner at the Mad Crabber and some Burt Reynolds shots to end the evening and a great week.
