I was working on the shed that we started last fall but slowly the wind looked like it was building….
By the time we got to the island and I checked the plumbing challenge, the wind was still looking good. I rigged up the 7m Duotone Slick (it takes 75 pumps each direction of the taller Duotone pump) and the 1500 foil under the 125l Sky foil board.
The air was 17c but the water just 10c. So I wore my 5/4 wetsuit and even 1.5 mil gloves. I jumped off the dock onto the board and was surprised how much the board sinks in fresh water. But also surprised how well I was balancing on it. The wind was 9 knots.
I slogged out and back keeping my balance on the board the whole time even as the wind dropped to 6 knots.

That was the end of the wind…

Just out and back - slowly!
|
I went out at 4:43… definitely missed the wind by an hour!
I got back to the dock and called it day. Maybe I’ll get going in the rain tomorrow?

Nice evening walk with the low water
