The session was short at 40 minutes, but it was IN SHORTs which is unbelievable for October 3rd!

I waited at the Launch Pad until the wind started showing 10 knots. I topped up the 7m Duotone Slick wing and headed out on the Stingray 140 with the 2000cm foil.
I did run aground while slogging for the first time on that nice carbon foil and hope the scratches buff out. After that just a few pumps in each direction and I was making upwind ground.

Several foil jibes but any tacks were off the foil. When I was able to do longer runs, I had to keep pumping both the sail and the board to keep going through the lulls. I eventually hit one long lull and decided to head back. A nice walk to the point in just a t-shirt and thinking this is the second last day this year I’ll be doing that.
The last two days were wonderful for teaching but weren’t really epic wind sessions. But I think the Warm Hatteras Crew would have enjoyed being on the island today.
After our walk Jen and I headed back to the cottage to unload some shed lumber and enjoy some fresh fish for our dinner from our neighbour and Launch Pad student Bobby.
