Despite the gusty north wind, I had a great windfoiling session. With the small 4.8 Idol sail and large 140l Stingray board and 99cm foil I was set up nicely for the 5-20 knot winds! The water was warm at 20c but it felt like the first day of fall with the 14c cold north wind.
I did 23 km in 1:45. Jen came out to the point and got a nice video of me jibing. It is a lot easier to jibe a nice flat freestyle sail that doesn’t have a huge amount of camber. I remember initially thinking in 2017 and even in 2020 that jibing 100% on the foil might be impossible but it is now rarer that I don’t stay on the foil through the jibe - but the odd touchdown does happen for sure!
