I knew that there wasn’t supposed to be much wind. So I got Geoff Quinn and Dave rigged and ready in the little sailboat. It didn’t do so well with over 500 lbs in it, so Geoff abandoned ship so Quinn and Dave could had a solid go at it.

| South wind a bit gusty |
In the meantime, I did head out with the 6.5 NP V6 and the Stingray 140 board with 76 cm foil. I got up on it a 4 times during gusts and had fun blasting past the little sailboat.

Not much but I’m still gonna call that session #54.
Later that night Dave and Geoff won again at poker!
Carl, sorry if I asked this before, but what's your wind speed minimum for getting up on the i76?
ReplyDeleteHi, with the 9.0 it was around 9 knots. 7.0 around 11 and with the 5.6 around 13. Those are averages. I need a gust with an extra knot or two to get up on the foil and then can keep cruising. Gonna get a 99 soon and see what that is like for minimums.
