I worked in the back seat of the car and got up north just in time for an evening session. It was 6:30 as I got on the water and there were some nice 10-15 knot gusts. Not really whitecaps, but just enough wind.
I went out on the 6.5 NP V6 with the Slingshot 76 cm foil under the old Techno 148. I worked my way upwind and had some very satisfying runs. A few more jibe attempts but not much more progress on getting around.
Being the Friday of the August long weekend, there were a couple of kayakers and canoeists out. I felt a bit guilty silently coming up behind the canoes who were working against the wind to head out to the bay. They were likely cursing the same bit of wind I was enjoying foiling on.

As the wind dropped, my heart rate started climbing It is a bit of work to pump the foil up onto a plane |

Top speed 28.4 km/h, not bad for 20-30 km/h winds. A very satisfying hour on the water in the last bit of wind for the day.
